Claudia Sahm Bio pic_200x200
Claudia Sahm, PhD is a Washington-based expert on monetary and fiscal policy and forecasting. She has several years of experience advising decision-makers at the Federal Reserve, White House, and Congress. She created a widely used and highly accurate recession indicator, the Sahm Rule. Claudia is the founder of Stay-at-Home Macro (SAHM) Consulting and Substack. Previously, she was a section chief at the Federal Reserve and a senior economist at the Council of Economic Advisers. Sahm holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Michigan (2007), and a bachelor’s degree in economics, political science, and German from Denison University (1998).   

 

Rebecca Patterson headshot_300x200_CroppedRebecca Patterson is a globally recognized investor and macroeconomic researcher with over 25 years of experience studying how politics and policy intersect with economic trends to drive financial markets. Most recently, Rebecca was Chief Investment Strategist for Bridgewater Associates, the world’s largest hedge fund. Previously, Rebecca was Chief Investment Officer of Bessemer Trust, overseeing $85 billion in client assets. Before joining Bessemer in 2012, Rebecca spent more than 15 years at JPMorgan. She also served as Chief Investment Strategist in the asset management arm of the firm and ran the Private Bank’s global currency and commodity trading desk.

 

KRV_Headshot_960x959Kathryn Rooney Vera is the Chief Market Strategist at StoneX, where she develops and presents comprehensive macroeconomic and market analyses on behalf of the firm. Her work offers global perspectives in addition to detailed country analyses. Formerly, she served as Head of Global Macro Research and Chief Investment Strategist at Bulltick where she was responsible for overall capital market investment strategy for the firm. Kathryn served as an Emerging Markets Latin America economist and strategist at Bear Stearns in Emerging Markets Fixed Income Research.
